When you are driving your car, the last thing you expect is for it to endanger you and your passengers in a moment’s notice without warning. Recent vehicle recalls, however, show that many of today’s popular automobiles are doing just that. From faulty tires to cars succumbing to spontaneous combustion, there are reasons all across the board as to why manufacturers are offering these repairs. However, many¬†of them may be dangerous enough that a wrongful death attorney could be getting involved sooner rather than later.

Luxury Vehicles

What are some of the most dangerous vehicle malfunctions that have caught the attention of the automotive industry and the public at large as the new year gains footing? Starting on the high priced side of things, the 2016 Maserati Gran Turismo has an issue with its main fuel line. The Italian automaker Maserati is a likely defendant for a wrongful death suit because this issue poses a significant fire risk.

Similarly, racing icon Ferrari has issued a stop sale order on all 2016 488 GTB models. These popular sports cars also have known fuel line problems that can result in the vehicles spontaneously catching on fire while they are being driven down the road. Ferrari will not allow the sale of any more 488 GTBs until this problem can be fully rectified.

Another luxury auto manufacturer that has a pricey recall on its hands is Mercedes. The high-end German carmaker has recalled the 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class for possible power steering malfunction. This issue could affect possibly 28,452 sedans, causing them to lose power steering function without warning.

Middle Class Makes and Models

Another scary automobile recall involves automaker Mazda. The Mazda 6 and Mazda RX8 are both equipped with passenger side Takata airbags that have been known to rupture in the event of a vehicle collision and are therefore being recalled by the manufacturer. This is yet another frightening vehicle malfunction that could, unfortunately, result in the assistance of a wrongful death attorney when all is said and done.

Finally, in the sports utility vehicle realm, Fiat Chrysler has recalled a whopping 570,000 Jeep and Dodge SUVs that may end up costing the automaker an expensive fight versus a wrongful death attorney. There are actually two separate issues that Fiat Chrysler is dealing with here. The first involves Jeep Grand Cherokees and Dodge Durangos from 2011 and 2012. These have faulty wiring in vanity mirrors that are causing the vehicles to catch fire. The second issue involves 2015 Jeep Compasses and Patriots. These SUVs were possibly constructed with an out of position clamp in the power steering line. Needless to say, this misplaced clamp can lead to fluid leakage, which can then lead to a fire if the fluid escapes to a hot section of the engine block.

Consumers are encouraged to check with their vehicle’s manufacturer if they believe they are in possession of a faulty automobile. This is always more desirable than having to contact a wrongful death attorney to help pick up the pieces after a horrible tragedy.
