ABOUT

Emily grew up in Alameda, California. She attended college at the University of California at Berkeley where she studied Sociology and Education.

After her undergraduate studies Emily headed south and enrolled in Mississippi College School of Law in Jackson, Mississippi. Once in Jackson, Emily fell in love with Mississippi. While in law school, Emily focused her efforts on obtaining professional experience through legal jobs and externships. After her second year in law school, Emily clerked for Maley Law Group, P.A. in Jackson, Mississippi. Emily worked primarily on workers’ compensation cases. While at the firm Emily saw first-hand the importance of helping individuals navigate through the complexities of the judicial system. During her third year of law school Emily worked for Hinds County Youth Court where she served as guardian ad litem for children. Emily conducted hearings and trials. The first-hand experiences of working with individuals in need of legal assistance motivated and inspired her to continually advocate for her clients.

After graduating law school Emily accepted the Associate Attorney position at Alexander Shunnarah & Associates. Emily enjoys interacting with clients who seek the firm’s services and assisting them through difficult times. Emily is a motivated attorney who works diligently to obtain a successful outcome for each client.
